Overview:
· Geared vessels did not have a spectacular year. None of the thrills of the capes. Just a slow burn since March
· China: China is back from self imposed isolation. There are many question marks. Let’s be positive in ‘23
· So far Europe and Ukraine have defied the pessimists. This crazy war can’t end soon enough.
Demand:
· Even an endless summer could dent demand for biomass.
· Look out for further biogas feedstock imports and one eye on SAF. New hands in the cookie jar.
Into ARA on the densified biomass deduct $1+- for every additional 1kt as there is a freight saving.
